1.
Burning buildings in the street On the ground to their feet Sing a hymn a madness song The purge has come let's play along We live in fear just watch and wait then close the door Is this hell's gate? The watchful eye above sees all Breathe the fumes and watch them fall
2.
Perfume from an afterlife drifts by Reminder of the time spent alone Should've seized the moment while it's there Now your life's a memory... and no one cares But you never could have them It could never have been All your life was regrets Now your dark essence is set free.
3.
We watch the sunrise then all is lost Stay in your corner and never trust We watch the pieces fall as madness calls your name Fear the right hand and close your eyes Get taught a lesson full of lies Fear the violence and the silence that sings Round and round it spirals down Feel a sting across your face It's black and white and always right with a heart full of rage We fear the right hand and close our eyes We're taught a lesson full of lies Fear the violence and the bells that ring
4.
Faces pressed against the glass Reflects a darkness of the past Just wishing all of this could be done The mothers call to their sons To remember But the fear takes control As reality arrives Crawl into this cold dark cell Feel the comforts of your personal hell and remember Youthful days are over The asylums open wide Listen for the mournful voice of the trusted ones who lied they remember Spirits haunt us from the past as eyes are lifted towards the sky with a dream for better days As our Eden has run dry Remember Remember
5.
Lost forever Can't find the way Silent nights and endless days A heavy dawn brings the day unto my shoulders as it fades away Into this maze of smoke and steam Black clouds rise and the engine screams Lost forever Can't find the way Silent nights and endless days
6.
Outside we lie in silence as the stars - go by Wishing... for better days to come I never thought it would end this way Inside... you cry a silent whisper as the train goes by And takes me away from everything that brought us to this day Good bye Good bye
7.
8.
9.
Take a breath Feel the breeze? Smell my death? A Lilac wind She says to me: “My darkness is a friend” But I never know if it’s real or a dream Hear the scream That signals The end Walk a tightrope (Abyss) Watch the lights (Dance) In the mist As death kisses (My lips) But I never know if it’s real or a dream Hear the scream That calls you home Hear the flies Sing their song A white dust In your eyes And on the ground But I never know what is real Or what’s a dream Hear the scream That calls for a new death A new death A new death
10.
11.
Cast adrift on a lonely sea I hear the siren sing to me: “Start again. It’s a new day… the storm has past” But a darkness lingers in the distance Watching all I do Waiting for the moment To pull me under To drag me down Tear this ship a sunder and sing this hymn of grief Oh, Soteria… come to me Soteria… calm these waves Oh, Soteria sing to me. Soteria Soteria
12.
Hear the night sing its song a lullaby for the lonely No one there now to blame just a life filled with shame Now alone in the dark An angel of death that left its mark Faded thoughts that bleed and stain the thinly shrouded dead remains A faded heart will live forever guided by the lure of pleasure Faded heart This faded heart A faded heart will live in sin guided by a voice within Faded heart This faded heart Hear the night call your name A hue and cry to the lonely Never there to take the blame for a life that’s set aflame Moving slowly; drift away from the dreams of yesterday
13.
Daylight burns these vacant eyes Time only seers the wound Cant run away, just disguise the dark empty world that haunts you Night time heals these empty eyes Distance tears the world A new dawn fades before it begins Our cruel world now defines you Moonlight warms these frozen eyes Tears can't heal the wound A world that ends before it begins Emptiness now consumes you. Moonlight warms these frozen eyes Moonlight warms these frozen eyes
